VEST Systems

The VEST uses many systems through all phases of Emergency Management. Some of those systems include:
AGOL – ArcGIS Online is VDEM’s online mapping system for situational awareness
WebEOC – WebEOC is the official system of record for incident management in the commonwealth and is still the platform for creating a common operating picture with comprehensive situational awareness.
MS Teams – MS Teams was implemented as a result of the COVID19 pandemic and allowed continuity of operations. This platform is the substitute for “in-person” communication in a virtual environment.
Everbridge – Everbridge is the VEST alert and notification platform.
Crisis Track – Crisis Track is an online GIS platform used to better support governments during a disaster with an option to utilize the application online or offline.
VDEM EMGrants – EMGrants is an electronic financial management system for use in Public Assistance (PA) and Mitigation grant programs application processes through all phases of grants management including application, pre-award, obligation, post-award, and documentation retention.
