Legislative Affairs

The Legislative Affairs Office coordinates VDEM’s engagement with the Virginia General Assembly and monitors state and federal policy that affects the Commonwealth’s emergency management programs. The office tracks legislation, supports the agency’s budget requests, and serves as the point of contact for legislators and their staffs.
