GIS Branch
GIS primarily develops web-based geospatial situation awareness tools to support the mission of VDEM and the VEST. These tools aim to enhance agency and mission partner knowledge of threats and hazards within the Commonwealth and to provide spatial monitoring of operations. GIS can assist VDEM, VEST and other state agencies in developing data collection tools which can feed into online situation awareness tools.
