Revised NG9-1-1 Deployment Schedule

Published: November 11, 2019

Richmond (ISP) – During the Nov. 14 meeting, the Virginia 9-1-1 Services Board approved a revised NG9-1-1 deployment schedule for the commonwealth. A map of this revised schedule is available below. ISP staff continues to focus on the goal of full i3 component deployments and the completion of the migration process by the end of 2021. This is consistent with the original timeline identified in the Board’s plan. The new schedule indicates that generally, areas in the north and east of the state will deploy within calendar year 2020, and areas central and west in the state, will deploy within calendar year 2021. This new schedule includes dates for the completion of GIS milestones. Flexibility in the schedule can be made for individual PSAPs as their readiness for deployment is evaluated and realized.
